LOL ....that pic of the train bridge is the D and L and its been like that for several years... the Island right below that bridge if you had come down the East side of it you would have seen the source of all that red acid mine drainage ...the Lacawanna river
While the Lackawanna is still generating plenty of AMD, it is still occurring from Pittston to Wilkes-Barre, literally bubbling right up out of the ground.
There is a giant settling pond by the farm in Plainsville, which is spilling over into the nearby river directly across from the Forty Fort cemetery.
Do one of those Google satellite zoom-ins and you will be amazed by what appears to be a giant field of copper staring back at you.
