Intemperate Thoughts

I just watched Chuck Schumer's press conference as he announced his pitch (a bill) to create an anti-corruption bureau to put a stop to Donald Trump's "self-enrichment" and "grifting." And there it is!!! Accuse your opponent of that which you are guilty of.

I never knew my father and always yearned to. Iffin' dear old dad turned out to be anything like Schumer, I would definately eat a round.

He claimed that Americans have been crying out to Congress concerning Trump's theft of their money. (?) He claimed that Trump has been accepting bribe after bribe. He sounded as ludicrous as usual, as do most of his lunatic fringe leftists.

Man, is he ready for the political graveyard or what?

Enough with that twaddling fool.

Yesterday I cancelled my Walmart-plus membership as well as two other such agreements. The reason? You advertise in Spanish, you lose me. You'll never get a single dollar of mine.

This is Pennsylvania, not some backwoods tent city where people feast on roasted insects.

No habla, no Markie!

Next...

I see YOUR county council is at it again with the ill-advised, assinine anti-discrimination blunder.

This one was beyond cute. Bring in some outsider to tell us how such an undertaking has only ever resulted in rainbows and bliss and orgasms and should never be questioned by anyone anywhere. And now that you have been corrected, you can sign the form provided by council to have your petition signature voided.

They just refuse to have their power (?) combined with heaps of utter brilliance challenged by those goll-danged taxpayers. Those annoying little trolls.

What's next? The anti-troll ordinance?

Dr. Falsie

Stupidly, I watched the entirety of the Dr. Anthony Falsie congressional hearing.

Dr. Falsie, Matchbox or Hot Wheels?

F-Off! I not so respectfully refuse to participate in spite of your subpoena.

Dr. Falsie, Laurie Partridge or Marcia Brady?

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!!!

Even a Moderna butt-boy should be able to hammer that slow pitch. Hell, this liar delivered the vaccine 72 hours after he helped create the virus. That was our first hint most of us whiffed on..

Impeachment, imprisonment, bankruptcy, assassination, worldwide pandemic...whatever it takes short of a coup d'etat.

Right?

Pigheads at work

Follow this link, read the report and resist the urge to puke.

Luzerne County Council to discuss commission that will enforce new anti-discrimination ordinance

Apparently, after council makes friends and family into an ill-thunk judge, jury and executioner outfit of sorts, the nonsense can commence. In other words, any unqualified fool can investigate, review files and "convict" scumbags such as us.

All of which makes it hard to differentiate between county council and a bar full of sloppy drunks, assuming there IS any difference.(???)

R-Fest '07

All this dam talk got me going.

Check that orange Acid Mine Drainage outflow coming from behind the Weis market in Plains.

That sure helps the argument FOR an inflatable dam.

Right, Kanjo?

Uncle Paul: Still backing sewage

Man oh man, an Uncle Paul sighting.

Now that Paul Kanjorski has come out of hiding to weigh in on the Bresnahan-Bidenetti congressional scrum, I need to remind locals that Kanjo's best idea while toiling away in the political exosphere was to erect an inflatable dam in front of raw sewage at Wilkes-Barre.

No fooling. Try looking into the negative impact sewage outflows have on the Susquehanna River here in the Wyoming Valley. I know, taking a long, hard look at raw sewage flowing into a river doesn't sound like much fun, but, I will tell you, paddling through toilet paper isn't what unimportant people such as ourselves would refer to as recreating.

If you have yet to paddle through what a sewage outflow discharges into our river, I would tell you to never, ever try it. Been there, done that.

For full disclosure, I did not initiate the fight against Kanjo's ill-fated rubber dam.

This here guy invited me.

I met Paul Kanjorski in Nanticoke when Bravo Battery returned home from Iraq. I suggested that we take the millions devoted to constructing concrete steps on Wilkes-Barre's waterfront coupled with the millionns appropriated for the rubber condom of a dam...take that money and fix the oft-overwhelmed storm sewer system that resulted into sewage discharges every time it rains for more than an hour.

His response: "Son, you don't know how Washington works."

Really?

Say hello to my grandfather's brother...

And since we're having so much fun, I'll leave you with this...

Los Malvinas

As if!

So, the Argentinian Soccer weanies had themselves quite a laugh with their ill-advised banner claiming that the Falkland Islands---a British territory long before Argentina was even thunk of---belong to Argentina.

Nevermind that the islanders voted by referendum in overwwhelming numbers to remain British citizens.

Nevermind that after Argentina invaded the islands in 1982 they were soundly beaten back to South Nazi Germany by a British task force that sailed 8,000 miles, and bombers that flew that distance with a refueling stop at Ascention Island.

That shortest of wars was interesting in that it involved most of the then newest military technology and hardware. It was basically the largest land, sea, air battle since World War II. Other than satellite imagery provided by the U.S., The British mauled the South American dunces without any assistance.

What is it with these central and south types? It's hard to believe they're considered Americans in any respect. They couldn't possibly hide any more Nazi war criminals than they did. They can't seem to provide for themselves. And they certainly don't understand or respect the sovereinty of other nations.

Give it up. Enjoy your Guinea Pig burgers, your lame sport and shut the f*>k up.

You really don't want anymore of the British military. Note that your Chinese-built air defense systems didn't do very much for either Valenzuela or Iran.

Funny how Trump exposed the shortcomings of Chinese military hardware and none of his insane haters even noticed.

More on those dumb f*>ks later.

Democrats 101: The Naked Communist

Understand how fooled you have been.

I read this book in junior high and was alarmed. Reading it again as an adult (?), I realized that one of our political parties had already been captured. In other words, our foreign enemies had become domestic foes. And the left-leaning dolts are cheering them on.

Read. Learn.

Learning is still legal.

FIFA?

Seriously?

Thank goodness this soccer bullspit is quickly winding down. Am I supposed to respect a sport that ejects players for making contact with his opponent? If someone with the mindset of a middle linebacker were to find his way onto a FIFA roster (whatever that stands for), the entire world would likely cry foul, take their balls and go home to Sh*tistan. Like I'd care.

Sorry effeminate types, but watching 300 people run around in circles ready to flop and cry foul if someone were to breathe on them is hard to take seriousy as a sport. But the only thing the majority of the world's countries can afford is a field, a ball and goats to serve as groundskeepers.

I can afford hockey skates, aluminum bats and all sorts of helmets. Plus, delivering violence to others of a similar breed is something I've enjoyed since I first started skating frozen ponds and playing tackle football on asphalt parking lots farther north than Pennsylvania.

Be honest for a nanosecond. I promise, it won't hurt.

Soccer blows.

Older T

I've got an endless closet parade if you want one.

Nah, I get it.

Leftist pussies are limited to dishing it out.

My New T

Don't like it?

F to the U to the C...you know the deal.

Mature?

That's a word rarely used to describe myself.

Turns out, the Commonwealth of Taxsylvania has determined that I might be too "mature" to be trusted with a steering wheel. It's kind of annoying if you consider the fact that I have never, ever, not even once, looked at my phone while operating a motor vehicle. Yeah, I'm THAT guy. Call the "believe it or not" people.

Check this mailer that accompanied my license renewal.

Yeah! I suppose the defensive driving courses for CDL drivers I completed during my CDL years no longer matter for a driver older than most coal veins. Identify hazards before they become emergencies. That sort of stuff.

I got my license when I was 17-years-old, get this, fifty years ago. Man, time sure flies when you're drinking heavily.

And save for one incident in Monticello, New York, I have never scratched or dented any vehicle. The Monticello incident was the result of a trucking company wanting more and more from every driver every day. There does come that point where 500 miles, 18 hours of snowfall, and an added stop in the Catskills "on your way back" fom Rowayton, Connecticut makes stress coupled with fatigue a less than safe mix.

Mature?

Try experienced.

G.J. and M.C.

The starting point wasn't great and the waypoints weren't much better.

Thing is, life is nothing like professional boxing. You don't necessarily need a knockout or a technical knockout. You just need to outlast your opponent.

Courtona

Come on down. Thanks to your/not my councilman, you already have my address.

Drivers...start...your...slots!

You'll get your ass kicked at this track. I've got more cars and more spare parts than our council members have relatives holding out for jobs. Throw in the armature modifications and lessons learned at Auto World's eight lane Watkins Glen layout. I have even built a car without gears. Yes, the back axle IS the armature.

You really don't want any of this.

But...the invite stands.

Timely (old) Pics

From Wilkes-Barre's Healing Field at Kirby park.

And we had the parade to the park.

Fuzzy Math!

That's one way you could put it. There's a whole other way.

Luzerne County Petition Signature Count(From the Sunday Dispatch)

Citizens collected 1,899 voter signatures in Luzerne County as part of the effort to overturn the county’s new anti-discrimination ordinance.

This total was submitted to County Council Clerk Sharon Lawrence on June 23, 2026, within the two-week deadline set after the County Council’s June 9 approval of the ordinance. The required minimum for the first batch was 1,162 signatures, and the group exceeded that by 737.

So the decision to make the names and addreeses of the folks who signed was not an effort to remove illegitimate signatures. And any politico who repeats that utter hogwash is a bald-faced liar. There was no way they could have had 700-plus signatures disqualified and they knew it going in. No way. I heard the architect of this tomfoolery on WILK and his claims were dubious at best.

That decision was a failed form of intimidation. Junior high types would call that a prick's trick.

And where the hell is it written that lowlife voters such as ourselves should not be challenging our elected, self-impressed know-it-alls. The gods from on high forced to live among us common, uneducated, unclean dummies. How do they get off feeling so superior? Because their families voted for them?

Come election time, there is one that needs to be soundly rejected by the voters. I'll not mention his name because these public figures always have attorneys on speed dial. We'll leave him with this...

Buh-bye.

The Dox Cocks

Commissioners? Council?

Is there really a difference?

We have a petition circulating as a means of allowing the voters to vote on a referendum question concerning county council's ill-fated anti-discrimination ordinance. Chris Belles (one of the soon to be replaced council goons) published the following gibberish on his facebook page...

The new politics is transparency vs secrecy in government. In this country, the United States, we have a fine tradition of a secret ballot. When people decide to attempt to overturn the will of those elected, they act publicly, they become public figures, and their privacy is outweighed by the greater need for transparency. That’s what the Supreme Court decided in 2010. You don’t get to harass or harm anyone, but you ultimately have a right to know who is trying to legislate and override the voters through referendum. I’m proud to help bring this to the surface for everyone to have the knowledge they need to participate in the process.

Self-serving swill, for sure.

He was alluding to the fact that he and/or his allies copied and published 310 pages of the names and addresses of the petition signees, of which, I am one.

Yep, I signed the thing. In fact, I was eager as all get out. Drove up to HQ in Exeter and had at it.

I'm told to expect a visit from a member of the County Council's political Einsatzgruppen.

What I would tell you is not to waste your f*>king time. I am not easily intimidated. I never have been and never will be. So take your high-minded swill about not allowing voters to interfere with your utter brilliance and ram it up your snout!!!

F*>k off!!!

Why?

Good question.

The answer is simple.

Because they're clueless leftists!!!

Change of Venue

It's been a while.

I attended a family wedding reception held at this legion hall circa 1974. I think.

My cousin, a few years older than myself, kept handing me screwdrivers, which, I was stupid enough to keep swallowing. Everything was fine until the ride back to grandma's house wherein the projectile-votiming commenced. My uncle was so completely angered, he threatened to end my life. I was so sick, I would have been good with that.

So they dragged me home, I went to bed (friday night) and woke up on sunday morning. Leo, the kitchen manager at Percy Brown's was none too pleased with the condition I was in.

Oh well, live and learn, I suppose.

Anyway, I'll be there.

And, no, I won't be accepting any screwdrivers.

NONE!

Big Ben

It has amazed me seeing how overwhelmed the residents of NEPA were with a Big Boy coming to Scranton's Steamtown.

I was doing the localized version of a Big Boy, the Big Ben, starting in 1978.

If you've never been forward-deployed to a combat zone, handing out free double-decker burgers to trick-or-treaters was close enough to all-out warfare. Been there, done that and I'm yet to recieve my purple heart.

It may not have been a one million pound locomotive, but it felt like a million pound weight while standing in front of that char-broiler.

Sorry.

My problem, not yours.
